Well, it’s all related to gravity. Newton’s law of gravitation (also called as law of attraction) is used to explain the gravity or gravitational force. It states that: Every massive particle in the universe attracts every other massive particle with a force which is directly proportional to the product of their masses and inversely proportional to the square of distance between them. Earth applies much huge gravitational force on a standing person, this is because of very large mass of earth (approximately 5.97*10*24 Kg). Considering moon, it has relatively smaller mass (7.34*10^22 Kg). So, moon exerts tiny gravitational force as compared to earth. As forces are vectors as they have both direction and magnitude, direction of gravitational force applied by earth is towards the center.   Rajasthan has a Temple of Rats The temple was built in the 20th century  by Maharaja Ganga Singh of Bikaner. Karni Mata Temple, also known as the ‘temple of rats’, is situated at Deshnoke near Bikaner in Rajasthan. The temple is dedicated to Goddess Karni, who is believed to be the incarnation of Goddess Durga, the goddess of power.  The temple is overrun with more than 20,000 rats. Devotees feed, worship and protect them. In order to keep predators away, devotees have built nets and grills.  Surprisingly, these rats do not bite any devotees who enter the temple.
